Diabetic Eye Care

Diabetics are at an increased risk for eye problems including diabetic retinopathy. High blood sugar can cause blood to leak from retinal vessels. If this goes untreated, vision loss may occur from damage to the retina.

​​​​​​​We utilize digital retinal photography, which allows our doctors to provide a thorough evaluation of diabetic retinopathy by taking a picture of the inside of the eye. A letter is generated after your exam and forwarded to your physician that cares for your diabetes.
